What's the role?
This role is part of the Enterprise Release Management team and specialises in the management and implementation of the UNITE Releases. The role requires extensive planning to develop and manage the scope for the UNITE Releases' working with UNITE command, multiple TSP project teams, support teams and partners to deliver a successful Release in a timely manner. The Senior Release Manager is accountable for ensuring the safe, controlled, and coordinated delivery of complex technology changes into production. This role oversees end‐to‐end release governance—from defining release scope and assessing risks, to managing schedules, dependencies, and readiness across multiple project teams. The role facilitates weekly progress tracking meetings, leads Implementation forums, maintains clear reporting, and facilitates implementation task sequencing and executions to safeguard production stability.
The Senior Service Manager is responsible for effective risk and issue management, including the identification of application inter‐dependencies for projects in scope, stakeholder communications, change control, implementation planning coordination and risk mitigation strategies for projects when required. This role will also play a key part in the Groups strategy to deliver multiple projects to meet customers, stakeholder and regulatory requirements.
Please note some UNITE releases may implement on weekends where you will be required to execute, monitor and report on the release status of the releases.
Further responsibilities include:
UNITE Release strategy: work closely with UNITE command to formulate a release strategy of TSP scoping and customer data migration activities including identification, dependency mapping, TSP prioritisation.
Developing and maintaining the release scope for the UNITE releases: planning and governing the UNITE releases by defining milestones, scope, and impacted applications, ensuring sufficient time for delivery and testing.
Release implementation planning: produce a Touchpoint plan for the Release which the ERM team will use to manage the implementation of the Release.
Review and Improvement: conduct a Post Implementation Review, both internally with the team, and externally with all impacted stakeholders, to review what opportunities there are for improvement to the Release Management process.
What do I need?
As well as TSP exposure, to be successful in this position you will have proven experience in Release Management in software development lifecycle. You will also have experience in multiple project implementation management, including task sequencing, dependency management and resource coordination. You should be able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks concurrently with confidence and have stakeholder engagement experience up to GM level.
Additional skills that are highly desirable include:
* Experience with ServiceNow Change management process
* Working knowledge of Solution Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)
* Working knowledge of Aile Execution Framework (AEF)
* Familiar with ERM procedures and Governance
