Reporting to the Senior Development Manager – Urban Development (North Canberra), the Project Officer will manage a range of responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation and governance of complex projects. This includes coordinating reporting requirements, maintaining project documentation and databases, and supporting financial and contract processes such as rebates, bonds, and invoice management. You’ll assist in implementing project management practices, support procurement and consultant coordination, and help monitor budgets and approvals. Strong stakeholder engagement is key, as you’ll liaise with internal and external partners to keep projects aligned with timelines and objectives. You’ll also contribute to the preparation of project briefs, business plans, and board papers, and foster a collaborative and respectful working environment in line with ACTPS values. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Highly desirable: Experience using the record management system (Objective/Acconex), P2P, MS Project and Microsoft software and design software. Experience of the ACT Government procurement, planning, development, and construction processes. Demonstrated experience in land or property development projects and the application of project management skills in this area. Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be located in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
