Spaceport Operations Technician
The role of a Spaceport Operations Technician involves providing exceptional guest experiences by ensuring that social spaces are clean, organized, and well-maintained. This position requires a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement in all areas of spaceport hospitality and site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and guest satisfaction in social spaces
* Perform routine inspections and submit maintenance work requests to ensure all spaces are guest-ready
* Drive continuous improvement across assigned areas by implementing enhancements and initiatives
* Support events by coordinating social space readiness, setting up and breaking down equipment, and maintaining cleanliness
* Maintain organized and well-stocked storage and supply areas; coordinate inventory management and ordering with the Experience team
* Communicate daily through reporting tools and shift pass-downs, documenting task completion, inventory usage, and status updates
* Collaborate with Facilities and Housekeeping teams to escalate and track maintenance or service needs
* Lead by example through work ethic, attention to detail, time management, and pride in upholding presentation standards
* Assist in training and mentoring team members, contributing to a culture of accountability and operational excellence
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalency certificate
* 1+ years of custodial, facilities maintenance, or operations experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
* Experience maintaining or managing shared or social-use spaces
* Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and guest satisfaction
* Effective communicator across departments and with guests
* Experience supporting events or large gatherings with setup and breakdown responsibilities
* Comfortable identifying issues, submitting tickets, and proactively driving solutions
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
* Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a facility for long periods
* Must be available to support overtime and occasional weekend events as needed
