The opportunity
Delaware North Australia is hiring a Guest Services Attendant to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. Located on the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef, just over an hour's flight northeast of Cairns, experience a tropical island with crystal clear waters, idyllic dive locations and powdery white beaches. As a talented and passionate hospitality professional, you will assist us in delivering a premium customer experience in this amazing environment, engaging our guests from arrival to departure.
Lizard Island Resort is an exclusive retreat set within the pristine waters of the Great Barrier Reef, offering access to one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders. Spread across a 1,013-hectare national park, the resort features just 40 rooms, suites and villas, ensuring privacy and seclusion. Guests enjoy direct access to vibrant coral reefs, 24 private beaches and a range of exceptional experiences – from snorkelling and diving to guided nature walks and luxury spa treatments. What will you do?
* Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out
* Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints effectively and efficiently
* Maintain current knowledge of daily VIPs, hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers
* Perform duties with a high level of positive guest service. Ensure that the guest is the first priority at all times and be proactive with their needs
* Liaise with various resort departments to ensure our guests experience the most memorable of experiences and the very highest levels of service
More about you
* Extensive hotel/resort front office experience
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise daily tasks and work with minimal supervision
* Experience using OPERA (PMS) system highly regarded
