About the Role This short-term engagement focuses on the design and delivery of an advanced Excel-based application to support leadership capability development. You will play a key role in building an interactive self-assessment solution that enables users to evaluate their current skill levels and receive tailored development pathways. The role requires a strong blend of technical Excel expertise and user-focused design, ensuring outputs are intuitive, visually engaging, and compatible across multiple platforms including desktop and web-based Excel environments. Position: Excel Application Developer – $1000/day super Location: Parramatta Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2/3 days WFH) Start Date: 27 April 2026 Duration: 4 weeks Application Window: 3 days Key Responsibilities Design and develop a dynamic Excel-based self-assessment tool from concept to completion Build automated dashboards that generate personalised development insights Ensure cross-platform functionality across Excel Desktop and Excel Online Apply advanced Excel features including formulas, data validation, conditional formatting and VBA (where applicable) Create intuitive user interfaces to enhance usability and engagement Translate business requirements into functional technical solutions Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure a reliable, error-free product Develop clear user guides and technical documentation for handover Collaborate with stakeholders to refine outputs and ensure alignment with learning objectives Optimise performance and scalability of the tool within Excel limitations About You Proven experience designing complex Excel-based applications or tools Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions, formulas, and data modelling Experience building interactive dashboards and automated reporting solutions Familiarity with Excel Online limitations and workarounds Ability to translate non-technical requirements into functional solutions Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders Experience in learning and development or assessment tools is highly regarded Relevant qualifications in IT, data analytics, or a related field are advantageous Must have valid working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen or long-term visa holder) with no sponsorship available As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal.
