Totally Smiles Indooroopilly is currently looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis. Come and join our supportive and energetic team in our modern 5-chair practice.
Our Dentists and team are patient-focused to ensure the highest quality treatments and patient-centered care are provided every time. We are based in the heart of Indooroopilly and close to public transport and the shopping center.
As a Dental Assistant, you will report to the practice manager and work with the dental team, where you will be exposed to more learning opportunities to enhance your professional abilities.
- Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
- Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
- Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What Do You Need To Succeed
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
