About the role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Operations Officer to join our esteemed client for a 12 month duration. The selected candidate will assume responsibility for assisting the Operations Manager in planning, preparing, managing, and optimising Census Digital Service operations.
Key responsibilities
* Operational risk management,
* Contingency planning,
* Reviewing and developing incident response plans and processes,
* Developing, analysing and reporting operations metrics,
* Planning for and coordinating operational readiness assurance activities including quality gates,
* Managing business acceptance testing,
* Crisis scenario planning and exercises,
* Training staff to ensure operational readiness,
* Workload forecasting and planning for live operations, and
* Supporting incident response during live operations.
Skills and experience required
* Previous experience in operational readiness management, project risk management and contingency planning.
* Ability to use data and analytics to plan and report key operational metrics.
* Experience in coordinating and running project testing cycles before 'go live' events, including quality and operational gate preparation.
* Previous experience in working in multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in defining, contributing, and implementing key operational processes such as incident response plans, crisis management processes.
