Our team is seeking a skilled Zoologist/Ecologist to lead our ecology practice in Perth, Australia.
Lead Ecological Services
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional who can drive zoological/ecological assessments and provide strategic advisory services to clients in the mining, oil and gas, renewables, and infrastructure sectors.
As part of our high-performing national team, you will be responsible for delivering biodiversity values and constraints assessments, rehabilitation monitoring, biodiversity surveys, impact and offset assessments, and ecological management plans.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing ecological management plans
* Conducting environmental analyses and mapping research, field surveys, and providing advice on relevant regulatory frameworks and project approval pathways
* Preparing technical environmental reports, proposals, and tenders
* Leading projects with varying complexity and scale, undertaking technical reviews, and mentoring junior staff
Required skills and qualifications include:
* 10+ years' experience in biodiversity impact assessment
* Tertiary qualifications in zoology, ecology, or a related discipline
* Extensive experience in leading ecological/zoological inputs and directing teams of field surveyors on large-scale projects
