We are seeking an Executive Director to lead QRO's Enabling Group, which directly supports our frontline services. Your new opportunity

Join the Queensland Revenue Office (QRO) as the Executive Director, Enabling Group. You will lead the teams that support revenue, fines and debt administration, and service delivery across the organisation. Leading multidisciplinary teams of approximately 120 staff across finance, workforce, client and employee experience, governance, and business support, you will play a key role in driving performance and continuous improvement.

Reporting to a Deputy Commissioner and as a member of the Senior Executive Team, you will lead three Directors and partner with business areas to deliver contemporary, efficient and effective enabling services that support QRO's frontline services.

Who We Are

As part of Queensland Treasury, QRO administers state taxes, mining and petroleum royalties, certain grants, camera-detected fines, and the enforcement of unpaid fines referred to the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER). Last year, QRO administered $32 billion to help fund essential services and infrastructure for Queenslanders.

In this role, you will have the following key responsibilities

* Corporate Leadership: Lead QRO's enabling functions, providing high‐level strategic advice, information and guidance across workforce, finance, governance and business support.
* Strategic Direction: Support the Deputy Commissioner in delivering strong leadership and managing operations, budget, resources, and corporate project delivery.
* Business and Organisational Planning: Oversee corporate planning activities to align business support services with QRO's strategic and operational priorities.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; represent QRO's interests and collaborate for optimal outcomes.
* Culture: Promote accountability, collaboration, achievement and a client‐centric approach.

What Experience You Will Bring

* Service Delivery: Proven achievement leading enabling functions across workforce and client engagement, finance, procurement, governance, and information management.
* Policy and Change: Skilled in developing and implementing public policy frameworks or strategies and driving organisational change within regulatory settings.
* Relationship Building: Ability to foster and sustain trusted professional relationships with senior executives across government, the private sector and other stakeholders, with effective communication and negotiation skills.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
