We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to support financial performance, cost control, and strategic decision-making for our business operations.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
Experience with Xero or MYOB accounting software is essential.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.
The role reports directly to the Directors and focuses on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and financial analysis in a subcontractor-based, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow reports.
· Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
· Perform job costing and margin analysis for clients maintenance and construction works.
· Monitor and analyse subcontractor costs and contract profitability..
· Provide financial performance reports and insights to Directors.
· Support financial compliance for government and public-sector contracts.
· Coordinate BAS, GST, and statutory reporting with external registered BAS and tax agents.
· Assist with audit preparation and internal financial controls.
· Identify financial risks, cost efficiencies, and process improvements.
· Monthly KPI reporting and analysis.
About You
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a management accounting or similar role.
Must have previous experience working with government or public-sector contracts.
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Experience working in project-based or subcontractor-driven businesses.
Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar.
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Desirable (not essential):
Experience working with government or public-sector contracts in WA.
Progress toward or eligibility for CPA, CA, or IPA membership.
Ability to speak and write Arabic.
