We’re doing it with our customers and communities as Australia’s energy infrastructure partner, a role our unique experience and expertise positions us to play.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity available for an Integrity Corrosion Engineer to join the APA Networks team in Thomastown VIC or Kidman Park SA, on a permanent fulltime basis.Reporting directly to the Team Lead - Pipeline Integrity, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, safety, reliability and compliance of all assets operated and maintained by APA Networks.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and support the ongoing operation, maintenance and improvement of the Cathodic Protection systems to ensure safe operating conditions, ongoing fitness for purpose, and compliance with asset regulations.Support the development and maintenance of corrosion management policies, standards and procedures for APA Pipelines Integrity Management.Apply advanced knowledge and skills in engineering principles, methods, and tools to design, develop, implement, and evaluate engineering solutions that meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholdersSolve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality specialist solutions, using innovation, creativity, and change management skillsCommunicate effectively and collaboratively with various audiences and disciplines, using appropriate verbal, written, and visual methods and toolsAssisting with pipeline engineering and infrastructure commissioning activities.Your backgroundTertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or strong equivalent relevant demonstrated work experienceAbility to apply advanced engineering concepts, theories, and principles to various engineering problems and situationsEffective practical application with the ability to use engineering methods, tools, and techniques to design, develop, implement, and evaluate engineering solutions in a systematic and rigorous mannerInnovative and can generate original and novel ideas, and to adapt and improve existing engineering solutions to changing needs and contextsAct with integrity, honesty, and responsibility and uphold the values and principles of the engineering profession including adhering to relevant standards, codes, and regulations.About The TeamNetworks manages and operates local distribution networks and transmission pipelines that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.
