As our Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organisation. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks - from processing invoices and reconciling accounts to managing rental property expenses and supporting audits. Your attention to detail and collaborative spirit will help ensure smooth financial operations and strong relationships with vendors and clients.
This is a part-time opportunity requiring 30 hours per week, with flexibility in working days and times.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and verify incoming invoices; resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing payment runs
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable
- Process supplier invoices and perform reconciliations of specific suppliers
- Prepare and review credit card and fuel card reconciliations
- Manage rental property costs and records, including communication with stakeholders
- Upload and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Foster positive relationships with vendors and clients
- Assist with internal and external audit preparations
What we’re looking for
- Certificate III in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance support role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and reconciliation processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
