Join SA Health as a Part-time Procurement and Contracts Officer in our Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. This short-term contract position, ending 30 June 2026, offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to healthcare excellence while developing your procurement expertise in a supportive environment.
About the role:
Reporting to the Strategic Procurement Lead this role is responsible for working with the SALHN Procurement Team to identify and implement procurement savings and sustainability initiatives to ensure value-for-money is realised. In addition, the position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Procurement Contract Management System (PCMS) and Procurement Activity Reporting System (PARS) for SALHN, as well as a variety of contract and procurement administrative tasks for the Team.
Duties for the role will include:
* Working with a variety of stakeholders to assist the Team in driving procurement and purchasing reform to ensure value-for-money is achieved.
* Understanding of the systems that support procurement and contract management activities (e.g. PCMS, PARS, Oracle, SHARP)
* Dealing with changing priorities and being able to adjust to the priorities of the Team.
* Contribute to the establishment and review of contracts in a timely manner.
About you:
* The ability to build credibility and rapport with stakeholders face-to-face, and indirectly, whether through verbal or written communication.
* Experience in interpreting data and developing reasoned inferences from the analysis to support better business decisions.
* Knowledge of the contract management principles and how it contributes to organisational goals.
* Experience in managing multiple priorities and making choices about time allocation whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.
