Victorian government's top statutory authority is looking for a Security Risk Consultant to be part of their Security team for a long-term contract.
**Your new role**
As an expert and having a blend of technical and soft skills, your main role would be:
- Provide expert advice and assessment on IT and security risks, threats and vulnerabilities for various projects and influence key stakeholders to implement risk reduction measures.
- Ensure effective risk and issue management throughout the project lifecycle following the Project methodology and stage gate requirements.
- Review new products/services and advise senior leaders on compliance issues and design decisions.
- Collaborate with project leaders to adopt best practice solutions for IT controls, Cloud and third party management, information security and data protection, risk management and regulatory compliance and keep abreast of industry trends and standards.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experienced in managing IT and security risks in complex and dynamic technology environments, such as cloud, Agile, and innovation projects.
- Skilled in consulting and influencing senior leaders and external providers to achieve strategic and secure outcomes.
- Knowledgeable about modern IT solutions and security practices.
- Effective in communication, organisation, and activity management.
- Familiar with project delivery methodologies, organisational values, and compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications like CISA, CISSP, etc., will be an added advantage.
