About the Role:
The specialist will play a key role in providing comprehensive medical services while contributing to the education and supervision of junior medical staff. They will be instrumental in shaping clinical practices, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the hospital's commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological services.
* Supervise and support junior medical staff, midwives, and nursing teams.
* Participate in teaching, training, audit, and clinical governance activities.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.
Requirements:
You must have registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways recognised by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the role delineation of the service with substantial experience in gynaecological surgery.
* Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
