We're now seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor / Manager to lead workflow, proactively elevate client outcomes and help shape the next stage of our growth.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of a portfolio and play a key leadership role across workflow management, quality control, client advisory and team development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with smart systems, delegation, and continuous improvement.
For the right person, we can structure an equity buy-in arrangement within 18 months, aligned to performance and cultural fit.
Key responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of business clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory outcomes
Oversee end-to-end workflow management across the team, including scheduling, job allocation and capacity planning
Review work (financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, and related deliverables) and ensure technical accuracy and consistency
Mentor and develop team members, fostering accountability and a positive, collaborative culture
Build strong client relationships and confidently communicate value and recommendations
Coordinate and optimise outcomes with an outsourced team, including training, review processes, and turnaround management
Drive the adoption of automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency and client experience
What we're looking for
CA (ICAANZ) or CPA qualified (essential)
5–7 years' experience in public practice, with demonstrated leadership and workflow management experience
Strong technical grounding in Australian tax and compliance (business clients)
Xero proficiency is essential (including best-practice use and troubleshooting across client files)
Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize effectively, and lead a team to consistent delivery
Experience managing or coordinating an offshore/outsourced team (highly regarded)
Interest in, and practical understanding of, using AI and automation tools to benefit clients (highly regarded)
