Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Clinical Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across our therapeutic programs. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for clinical governance, accreditation compliance, team leadership, and the delivery of high-quality, holistic care aligned with best practice standards.
This is a key leadership role for a senior clinician who thrives in a residential treatment environment and is passionate about delivering measurable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide overall clinical governance, ensuring compliance with NSQHS and Sana Health Group standards, relevant legislative and accreditation frameworks
* Lead and oversee the delivery of evidence-based mental health and AOD treatment programs
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to the Therapeutic Team
* Oversee clinical assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge processes
* Deliver individual and group therapy as required
* Monitor clinical outcomes (including Novopsych data) to drive continuous quality improvement
* Identify and manage clinical risks within the organisational risk framework
* Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals
* Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, tender submissions, and program development
* Maintain and grow key stakeholder and referral relationships
About You
You are an experienced clinical leader with strong governance capability and a collaborative leadership style. You bring a trauma-informed, client-centred approach and are confident working within a multidisciplinary residential setting.
* Extensive experience delivering mental health and/or AOD treatment
* Proven leadership and clinical supervision experience
* Strong understanding of Australian regulatory and accreditation requirementsExperience facilitating individual and group therapyExpertise in trauma-informed care and holistic modalities
Highly Regarded
o Experience in men’s programs, process /sex addiction, and trauma
o Residential treatment program leadership experience
o Experience in administering/ maintaining NSQHS Standards
Qualifications & Registration
o Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work (Mental Health), or related field
o Minimum 5 years’ mental health/AOD experience, including 2 years in clinical leadership
o Current registration with AHPRA, PACFA, ACA, or relevant professional body
o Clinical supervision certification (or willingness to obtain)
