Kimberley Meat Company is a meat processing facility located between Broome and Derby. Under new ownership and with experienced management on board, the business is preparing to recommission operations and reopen in 2026, creating a unique opportunity for skilled and motivated tradespeople to help establish a safe, reliable and efficient operation.
About the Role
We are seeking qualified and experienced electricians and mechanical fitters to support the recommissioning and ongoing operation of the facility. These roles will be critical in ensuring plant, equipment and infrastructure operate safely and reliably in a demanding food production environment.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work as part of a maintenance team to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Electrician
* Electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding on processing plant and site infrastructure.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
* Support commissioning and recommissioning of plant and equipment.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant safety, food safety and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Fitter
* Mechanical maintenance, repairs and overhauls of processing plant and site equipment
* Fault-finding and breakdown response to minimise downtime
* Preventative and predictive maintenance activities
* Installation, alignment and commissioning of mechanical equipment
* Maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves and rotating equipment
* Ensure compliance with safety, food safety and regulatory requirements
* Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
* Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
About You
* A current WA Electrical licence or trade qualification as a mechanical fitter (essential)
* Experience in an industrial or food production environment
* Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
* Motivated, adaptable, resilient and safety focused.
