Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) provides global strategic maritime, cargo and supply chain solutions to shipowners and operators who span all geographies, market segments, vessels and asset types. Inchcape Shipping Services today, handles over port calls per annum in the Australasian region employing approximately people in over port offices. The ISS Australasia team is spread across three key functional areas - Port Agency, Liner Agency and Marine Surveying.
Reporting to the Port Manager WA, the Port Manager is responsible for the development and growth of revenue, managing daily operation functions, workload management, and ensuring employees have the competency, direct, and support to provide exception support to customers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage direct reports, including managing and distributing workload in the team to ensure effective management of resources
2. Deliver centralized vessel operations in accordance with Inchcape policies and procedures
3. Support port call optimization with forward planning and schedule review within the team to minimize port call duration
4. Ensure centralised processing and delivery of required documentation, including inward and outward clearances of vessels, cargo manifest and required documents to ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
5. Establish and maintain formal and informal relationships with principals, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities and service providers
6. Ensuring any funding requests are appropriate and are provided to the correct managers for approval
7. Ensure strict compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures
8. Provide the department management with updated information on customers, revenue opportunities and local rules and regulations and any changes
The successful candidate may be required to work overtime, weekends, and nights on occasion.

Selection criteria:
12. At least years’ exposure to shipping operations
13. Full drivers’ licence
14. Previous experience managing staff (preferred)
15. Commercial acumen
16. Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite
17. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
