Job Overview
Uniting WA Homeless Accommodation and Support Services (HASS) provides a range of support services including advocacy, referral and transitional, program accommodation and support to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. With recent redevelopment and refurbishment of some service properties, this is an exciting time to be part of this program and to contribute towards this change process. This is a maximum‐term role based in Fremantle, ending 31 December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Client‐centred Support – build positive relationships with and between clients, advocate and support them to achieve personal and program‐related target outcomes.
* Program Support – actively participate and contribute to continuous improvement of the program.
* Safety and Risk Management – establish and maintain a safe working environment for staff and service users.
About You
* Positive and contemporary attitude towards those experiencing homelessness.
* Knowledge and experience in working with clients to support positive change, including assessment and case management approaches.
* Excellent communication, self‐awareness and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge and experience in working with people experiencing mental health and/or substance use issues.
* Relevant qualifications within the community services field and/or relevant experience will be regarded favourably.
Requirements
* Must be able to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
* Must provide a First Aid certificate.
