A key responsibility of this role is to oversee the competence assessment and approval process for GFSI auditors. The Auditor Competence Officer plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with Standard Owners' requirements and internal objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Competence Assessment: Evaluate CVs and supporting documentation for new GFSI auditors, as well as manage requests for qualification extensions to additional schemes or categories.
* Approval Coordination: Collaborate with auditors' managers in Local Units and with Standard Owners to guarantee timely approvals.
* Requalification Management: Provide operational support for requalification processes in case of standard updates, ensuring correct application of procedures.
* Operational Support for Qualification Maintenance: Offer necessary assistance in maintaining auditors' qualifications.
* Compliance: Ensure all activities align with GFSI rules and internal policies.
This position requires expertise in auditing, competence management, and experience working with GFSI food certification. Key skills include knowledge of GFSI standards, proficiency in analyzing documentation and assessing competencies, as well as fluency in English language.
