Lifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible person‐centered support for people living with a disability. Support Workers assist customers to become more independent in their own home and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests and hobbies
• Coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skills
• Administering medication and ensuring adherence to individual support plans
• Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
• Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when required
• Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
• Providing personal care consistently; must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so
• Diabetes knowledge or training is ideal
• Peg feeding knowledge is ideal
• Community access required at certain times

Qualifications

• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekends
• Versatile communication skills, able to interact with both verbal and non‐verbal customers
• Current driver's licence (mandatory)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain one
• Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003
• Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar are advantageous
