Our mission is simple: to help every child flourish by supporting their whole development - identity, wellbeing, and connection.Backed by our Central Support Office, we provide expert guidance in quality, compliance, safety, finance, IT, and people support, ensuring our services meet the highest standards.This hybrid Accounts Payable Officer role (3 days in our East Melbourne office, 2 remote) is a key member of our Finance team.Job DescriptionReporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support financial operations.Take ownership of the full Accounts Payable process - from invoice matching to smooth, on-time payment runsEnsure all invoices and approvals align with financial policies, maintaining accuracy and complianceReconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies quickly to keep things running seamlesslyPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to keep our accounts payable and general ledger in perfect syncHelp drive efficiency by maintaining and improving accounting systems, while supporting the Finance team with reports and ad-hoc tasksQualificationsYou bring proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role, with a solid grasp of accounting principlesTech-savvy and Excel-proficient - experience with Xero is a bonus, but not a deal-breakerA hands-on, solutions-focused team player who thrives in a fast-moving, start-up environmentNaturally curious and proactive - you’re always looking for ways to simplify, streamline, or automateDetail-driven and organised, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetAdditional InformationWhat’s in it for you?
