As a Greenfield Account Executive within Amazon Web Services (AWS) ANZ Public Sector, you will join a newly formed team focused on expanding AWS adoption in emerging public sector accounts. You will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting through close—helping public sector organizations reinvent their IT strategy through cloud computing.
This role demands creative problem-solving, tenacity, and the ability to develop novel approaches for reaching and engaging prospective customers. You will engage customers across all organizational levels, building relationships with both technical teams and business leaders to drive cloud adoption.
This position requires working from the local office when not at customer sites.

A day in the life
Your day starts reviewing your pipeline and identifying which emerging accounts need attention. You'll research target organizations across Government, Healthcare, Education, and Not‐for‐Profit sectors—understanding their missions and key stakeholders. You'll execute outreach campaigns, make prospecting calls, and secure meetings with decision‐makers exploring cloud transformation.
You'll conduct discovery conversations, collaborate with Solutions Architects and AWS Professional Services to shape compelling propositions, and navigate procurement processes. You'll update your CRM, refine your territory strategy, and forecast accurately. This role offers the autonomy to innovate, think differently, and make an impact across a new team whilst helping public sector organisations transform through cloud technology.
