We are seeking a detail‑driven Finance Officer to support our Financial Controller in managing day‑to‑day financial operations across a growing multi‑entity franchise network. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working across the full finance function and contributing to meaningful business insights.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, compliance, and timely reporting. Your work will directly support budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and franchise compliance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Processing & Reporting
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time
* Maintain general ledger entries and assist with month‑end reconciliations
* Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
* Perform variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and escalate issues
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Assist with budgets and forecasts
* Monitor expenditure against budget and report variances
* Support cashflow forecasting and financial modelling
Payroll
* Process payroll accurately and on time, including wages, allowances, superannuation, and leave
* Ensure compliance with Awards, Fair Work requirements, and company policies
* Maintain accurate employee records in payroll and HR systems
* Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and investigate variances
* Assist with payroll audits and respond to payroll‑related queries
Compliance & Systems
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and internal policies
* Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
* Maintain accurate records in NetSuite and ensure data integrity across systems
About You
You are highly organised, analytical, and take pride in accuracy. You can work independently while also collaborating effectively with a wider finance team.
You will bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline required
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience using NetSuite (highly regarded)
* Advanced Excel skills
* Sound understanding of payroll and compliance requirements
* Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
* Strong time management and communication skills
