The Role

We are looking to hire an experienced Practice Manager for an expanding Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice, based in Tugun.

The successful candidate will work up to 4 days per week (Monday to Friday) and will be responsible for the smooth, efficient operation of this expanding practice, with sites at Tugun and Ballina

This is a key leadership role that will appeal to you if you have the experience to manage a committed team of specialists, allied health professionals and administration staff, as well as the ability to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained for all.

We are searching for the right person to lead and grow our practice operations and support a team that already enjoy working together. With the right values and skill set, your experience and achievements would be in line with this warm and friendly practice.


About Us

Wahini Health is directed by Dr Sapna Dilgir, an established Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, taking pride in serving the health needs of the women in this community. Dr Dilgir provides the highest level of patient care and has expanded the practice, to now include another Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Urogynaecologist, Physiotherapists, Dietitian, practice nurses and midwives.


Our practice offers:

* State of the art, spacious and purpose-built practice, situated in Tugun
* A computerised practice with the latest medical cloud-based specialist software.
* A warm and friendly team with a high level of experience. You will be working with specialist surgeons, supported by midwives, Physiotherapist and a registered nurse, in an integrated specialist practice.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

* Employee leadership, mentoring and performance management
* Strong planning, organisational, administrative and reporting skills
* High level of understanding of practice and business processes
* High level of understanding of operation scheduling and billing procedures
* Analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills
* Ability to take the initiative and work autonomously
* Ability to negotiate competing priorities
* Ability to devise and review systems for operation efficiency and control


Key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role will include:

* Ensure the successful daily operation of the entire business
* Provide key business management support to director
* Lead a team of clinical, support and administration staff
* Ensure suitable IT support to protect the integrity of practice systems
* Evaluate and report on the processes, budgets and outcomes
* Provide strategic development for the business and team

Salary will be negotiable and in line with your skills and industry experience. Flexible working hours will be a consideration.
