About the Role Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to support the day-to-day operations of the Accommodation Centre. This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the Accommodation Centre and other Council facilities, while providing a welcoming and positive experience for guests and visitors. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain the Accommodation Centre in line with cleaning schedules Service other Council facilities as required Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and safety Assist with stock control and inventory Provide friendly and professional customer service Follow all relevant cleaning and safety procedures About You Experience in cleaning or similar work (preferred) Good time management and organisational skills Ability to follow instructions and work independently Friendly and approachable with a strong customer service focus Willingness to learn and undertake training Ability to work respectfully in a culturally diverse environment Mandatory Requirements Current Driver Licence (desirable) Ability to obtain a National Police Check How to Apply Don’t miss this opportunity to join us!
