We are looking for a Technical Customer Service Assistant who will support customer-facing and internal operations by responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and payments, maintaining customer records, and assisting with marketing activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Interaction and Technical Support
Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and accuracy.
Provide basic technical information and product guidance, escalating complex queries as needed.
Assist the Service Team with the management and issuing of service records.
Prepare and issue quotations based on customer requirements and pricing guidelines, coordinating with internal teams to confirm pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery details when required.
Process all new customer orders within the ERP system, liaising with the relevant internal stakeholders, and ensuring orders are acknowledged and communicated to the customer.
Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers & freight companies, confirming delivery dates and pricing.
Track orders and keep customers up to date with delivery details.
Finance Support
Process customer payments and ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
Liaise with the Finance team to support invoicing activities and payment reconciliation, assist with follow-up on outstanding payments or account queries.
Customer Record Management
Maintain and update customer information in CRM and internal systems.
Ensure data accuracy to support sales, service, and marketing activities.
Assist in generating customer reports and insights when required.
Administrative Support
Assist with the preparation of marketing media and marketing activities.
Perform general Office and day-to-day administrative tasks.
ABOUT YOU:
Essential: Tertiary qualification in business or technical discipline e.g. Cert III in Business Administration or Marketing etc.
Desirable: Advanced tertiary qualification in an Electrical field.
Experience:
Min. 2-years’ experience in customer services, sales support, or technical administration.
Sound knowledge of MS Office applications in a business-to-business technical sales environment.
Experience in ERP systems or digital media content creation applications a distinct advantage.
