Job Description
At Novotel Devonport, we are seeking a skilled handy person/maintenance assistant to join our team. This role involves performing general maintenance and repairs in the hotel, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are in excellent working order.
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Hotels' Property Management System (PMS)
* Assist the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day maintenance requirements
* Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be comfortable with physical labor, and have a strong eye for detail. Self-motivation, punctuality, and reliability are also essential, along with basic knowledge of general repair work or DIY and competent computer skills.
* Previous handyman/maintenance experience in a hotel or guest service environment is preferred
* Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts, including weekends
* Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
