Operations Supervisor PM – Preston, Victoria
The Opportunity
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, we seek an experienced Operations Supervisor for our Gases Sub-Division in Resources & Industrials at Preston. The role primarily supervises the compressed distribution function for Victorian BOC Gas Operations. This position is on the PM shift, 11AM – 7PM.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and coordinate daily/monthly activities to meet results and standards. Set work priorities and develop personal capability.
2. Identify innovative methods, processes, or systems to improve operations.
3. Design and implement solutions for key business needs around systems, processes, or technologies, ensuring standards are met.
4. Manage day-to-day projects or assignments with guidance to ensure business benefits.
5. Understand customer situations, anticipate their needs, and identify opportunities to enhance service quality.
6. Lead by example in HSE standards, compliance, and initiatives.
About You
Ideal candidates will have:
1. Transport industry knowledge (preferred but not essential).
2. Basic computer skills, including Transport Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
3. Knowledge of NHVAS Fatigue, Maintenance Management, and Mass (preferred).
4. Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain effective relationships.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
