Job description:
The Opportunity - Help build places people love to live.
Join our Civil & Infrastructure team to help deliver well‑designed residential communities across Melbourne's western corridor. This role offers a balance of time on site, in the office, and one day a week from home, giving you variety and real exposure to how communities are built.
We're Looking For…
An Assistant Project Manager with strong civil and infrastructure, subdivision or land development experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive and open team environment. You'll work closely with Project and Development Managers and contribute meaningfully to the delivery of major community projects.
What You'll Do
* Support planning, design and delivery activities across civil, subdivision and landscape works, working hand‑in‑hand with Project and Development Managers.
* Assist in managing projects from early feasibility through to construction and completion, helping ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
* Build strong and positive relationships with consultants, contractors and authorities that contribute to smooth project progress.
* Support procurement processes, monitoring of cost plans, staging strategies and construction sequencing across multiple projects.
* Seek opportunities to improve project efficiency, embed sustainability practices and uphold high standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
* Work as part of a small, high‑performing team, contributing to a range of civil packages across communities such as Wattle Park, Grand Central and Grandview, with potential changes depending on experience and project needs.
About You
You thrive in a team environment where honesty, collaboration and respect are central. You enjoy solving technical challenges, learning from experienced project leaders and contributing to the creation of great places for communities to grow. You're seeking a role with hands‑on involvement, career development and real impact.
Experience & Skills That Count
* Strong experience as an Assistant Project Manager in civil infrastructure, land development or subdivision projects
* Experience gained with a civil contractor, consultancy or large developer, ideally delivering subdivisions, wetlands, waterways or major civil infrastructure.
* Strong technical capability and understanding of civil construction methods, engineering principles or project management practices preferred
* Experience working with contractors, consultants and approval authorities on infrastructure or land development projects.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
The Right Mindset
* A collaborative team member who values open communication and shared success.
* Proactive, curious and motivated to continue growing both technical and stakeholder skills.
* Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with a practical, solution‑focused approach.
