Job Description
Our organisation is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Proficient or Advanced level to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred, and outcome-focused positive behaviour support to NDIS participants.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and carers, to identify needs through assessment and planning.
* Developing, evaluating, and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support environments.
* Creating meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, aiming to eliminate restrictive practices in home and community settings.
* Ensuring plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
* Building capacity and strengths of those supporting participants, including family, carers, and friends.
* Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced practitioners.
Requirements
* Proficiency or higher as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with evidence of qualification.
* Significant experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
* Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
* Genuine passion for the disability sector.
