Education Assistant – Special Needs
This is a permanent part‐time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026. As an Independent Public School, we provide a welcoming, happy, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their potential.

The Role
Education Assistant – Special Needs. Assist teaching staff in delivering planned education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This may include operating computers and digital technologies, implementing individual or small‐group programs, and providing valuable feedback to support student learning.
Suitable applicants should have a strong knowledge of evidence‐based techniques for learning and behaviour and experience or knowledge of disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Compelling interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to collaborate with teachers, and a compassionate attitude are essential for creating and maintaining a supportive education program.
Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
