Network Infrastructure Specialist
The role of Network Infrastructure Specialist is critical to maintaining secure, reliable and high-performing network infrastructure for Government Solutions U.S. division.
This position requires the ability to maintain, install, upgrade and configure data systems, administer operating systems and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
The successful candidate will have experience with IT support tools, ticketing systems, and remote desktop applications, and be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain, install, upgrade and configure data systems.
* Administer operating systems and maintain basic security and recovery procedures.
* Perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the field.
* Manage multiple IT vendors to ensure completion of IT projects in a timely manner.
Requirements:
* Must be an Australian citizen.
* Must possess an active AUS PV Clearance.
* Minimum of an Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
* Minimum of five years of directly related technical, professional experience required.
* Possess a current Security+ Certification.
* Provides technical support for Microsoft Windows 2012/Win7 and Linux operating systems.
* Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN troubleshooting.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Able to set priorities and deal with a number of issues and deadlines concurrently.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
* Certifications in disciplines such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications in Windows Server and Windows Client.
