Position

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (and providing key data to the global HQ in the US), the Head of Finance is a key member of the executive team and will have the ability to work at both the strategic and operational levels. We are looking for someone who preferably comes from a related industry (FMCG) to hit the ground running. The role would suit a financial professional who has strong people (HR) skills, the ability to communicate at Board level and commercial acumen, enjoys analysing and can (when required) roll up their sleeves and be one with the team.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced financial professional combined with an engaging leadership style, a natural communication style, and a strong HR background. There is an incredible opportunity to continue to build and enhance existing processes and partner with the functional management team and the CEO to implement the strategic vision.

Mandate for this Role
* Ability to interrupt the financial results and make recommendations for improvements, including high‐level presentations.
* Oversee all compliance and reporting requirements to ATO, ASIC, BAS and regulatory bodies.
* Foreign currency hedging and reconciliation.
* Responsible for Accounting Policies and Procedures to ensure strong internal controls remain intact to safeguard financial assets of the organisation.
* Manage relationships with Auditors, Bankers, Advisors, Stakeholders, Customers, insurers and Suppliers as required.
* Work in a fast‐paced environment.
* Lead the finance team to streamline business processes, reduce the month‐end close cycle and produce meaningful and timely management reporting including P&L, Cash flow Statements, Balance Sheet and KPI's.
* Prepare and manage company budgets and KPI's, including monthly/quarterly reporting.
* Preparation of statutory reports.
* Ensure integrity of all systems including general ledger, sub ledgers and payroll.
* Responsible for annual operating and capital budgets, and dynamic profit and loss forecasts including activity‐driven forecasts.
* Manage cash‐flow forecast.
* Identify and manage risks.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Business / Commerce / Economics with 10 years of accounting and/or tax experience.
* Financial experience within the FMCG industry.
* Strong IT skills including ERP and WMS Systems, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong Excel skills, and ability to identify business processes for automation.
* Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team.
* Strong accounting technical skills and broad commercial experience.
* Strong communication and relationship building skills.
* Capability to work with other business functions to understand, recommend and implement business change to help achieve organisation goals.
* Experience in company forecasting & budgets.
* Advanced high level Excel skills.
* Experience with best practice financial systems and processes.
* Detail orientated.
* Manager that leads by example.
