AECOM's environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks, including obtaining permits and approvals, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience. We focus on preserving habitats, water quality, stakeholder engagement and cultural resources, promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage.
How you'll make a difference
* Undertake environmental impact assessments and approvals for client projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best-practice standards.
* Undertake and/or coordinate multi-discipline environmental technical investigations across a range of clients and sectors.
* Author or contribute to technical reports, regulatory approval processes (state and Commonwealth), and proposals.
* Build positive connections by representing AECOM in client meetings and across the wider industry.
The qualities that help you thrive
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field, with 4+ years experience in environmental impact assessments and approvals across various sectors.
* Bring demonstrated experience in environmental impact assessments on complex projects, along with project coordination skills and commercial awareness to assist with budgets, timelines and quality.
* Have a sound understanding of South Australian and Commonwealth environmental approvals processes, with experience in or knowledge of other State or Territory frameworks considered beneficial.
* Have demonstrated capability to scope, undertake and/or interpret a range of technical investigations, with knowledge in ecological assessments considered beneficial.
* Due to the nature of this role and the requirement to obtain Australian Defence clearance, applicants must be Australian citizens.
