About the Role
The CNC provides expert clinical nursing leadership, care coordination, and service development for respiratory patients including patients with screen‐detected and incidentally identified lung nodules.
This role is a cornerstone in Ipswich Hospital's implementation of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) and the TSANZ National Guidelines for lung nodule management.
About You
* Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competence in Respiratory nursing practice, linking care to key objectives and performance indicators.
* Maintain advanced clinical knowledge in respiratory medicine and lung nodule management.
* Apply technical expertise to interpret guidelines, manage complex diagnostic scenarios, and support decision‐making in MDCC.
* Provide expert input into development of telehealth services and nurse‐led models of care.
Mandatory Requirements
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* Post Graduate Qualifications in or other qualification or experience in a similar field(s) is highly desirable.
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine‐preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
