This is a permanent, on-site role in our Pyrmont, Sydney office with shifts running 12-8 pm and alternating Sundays.
Job Overview
As Senior Social Media Producer for 10 News+, you will drive our social strategy, lead growth initiatives, and shape audience engagement with breaking news across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead and implement the social media strategy for 10 News+, driving audience engagement, ratings, and commercial growth.
Create and publish compelling content across social platforms, ensuring accuracy, tone, and consistency with brand voice.
Cover breaking news in real time, managing live online streaming and rapid digital updates.
Source, pitch, and adapt stories from digital spaces for both social and traditional broadcast formats.
Manage and grow 10 News+ social accounts, applying strict community moderation standards and delivering on digital partnership requirements.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in a newsroom or news production environment, with a deep understanding of breaking news workflows and digital publishing.
Passion for social and digital media, combined with an innovative mindset for creating engaging, platform-specific content.
Technical skills in CMS and editing tools, with demonstrated experience using Canva and Adobe Premiere for video and photo production.
Exceptional attention to detail and fact-checking, supported by knowledge of media law and editorial standards.
Flexibility and collaboration, able to work late nights, weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced, nationally connected news environment.
Location : Pyrmont, New South Wales, Australia. Salary : AUD 120,000 – AUD 150,000.
