We have positions available in Mount Gambier SA and Bathurst NSW.
The Maintenance Electrician provides necessary electrical trade skills to support ongoing production
requirements through effective maintenance. This includes attending to breakdowns, actively
monitoring production shift start-up and change-over, and carrying out planned, unplanned and project
work as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Inspect operating machines and equipment for compliance with standards and recommend improvements to enhance performance and condition.
* Update Maintenance Manager and team on the status of requested maintenance support.
* Preventive maintenance inspection and closing our Corrective Actions
* Carry out hands-on electrical trade and controls work
* Ensure electrical safety of all plant and equipment
* Carry out electrical testing and tagging as required
* Maintain all areas of the Workshop in a tidy and safe condition.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Electrical trade qualification with a demonstrated understand of PLC – Electrical programming experience an advantage. Willing to complete a skills assessment and gap training to be certified in Australia SA.
* Experience within an industrial / manufacturing environment, timber experience an advantage.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.
* Current registration in accordance with the Plumbers, Gas Fitters and Electricians Act (South Australia)
* Candidates without current SA electrical registration are eligible if willing to obtain registration after a job offer is made.
* Current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift & EWP)
* High Risk Work Licences (Forklift & EWP) can be obtained after hiring if not currently held.
* Must hold a current Driver's Licence.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive and cohesive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
