About the Role
We are looking for a self-motivated, independent, and passionate Senior Test Analyst to join a multidisciplinary development team working on industry-leading mine automation solutions. The work is technical, involving both hardware and software systems. Responsibilities include:
* Testing of technical and functional requirements for autonomy projects and programs.
* Creating, reviewing, and maintaining testing artefacts such as test cases, scripts, reports, and plans.
* Collaborating with development teams, product teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure testing scope meets requirements.
* Identifying and diagnosing system and code faults to ensure systems perform to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Testing and Verification
* Verifying quality of autonomy products against requirements.
* Documenting and addressing deviations from requirements.
* Completing verification work with appropriate detail.
Developing and Executing Tests
* Designing manual and automation test cases.
* Creating automation coverage for regression testing.
* Executing tests, recording outcomes, and reporting bugs.
* Supporting defect analysis and closure activities.
* Ensuring test coverage and traceability.
* Communicating test closure results.
Stakeholder Support
* Providing quality assurance best practices.
* Participating in reviews and process development.
* Training and knowledge sharing with verification teams.
* Providing verification support at Perth site with occasional travel.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Education
* Tertiary qualification in IT or related field (desirable).
* ISTQB foundations / CTFL certification.
Experience
* 7+ years in software testing or similar roles.
* Experience with client-side applications, hosted environments, microservices.
* Test automation experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of test management tools and processes.
* Understanding of mining and safety-critical systems (desirable).
Skills
* Proficient in test analysis, design, execution, and closure.
* Requirement traceability skills.
* Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix OS.
* Version control (e.g., Git).
* Familiarity with XML, JSON message formats.
