We have multiple opportunities for data engineers, at a range of skill and experience levels, to support South Australia's public education. The roles are part of a team responsible for ingesting, storing, modelling and visualising data. The main tools are Microsoft Azure, Databricks, PowerBI and Azure DevOps along with SQL and Python.
Responsibilities Include
* Building and maintaining data pipelines, modelling and visualisation to support analytics and reporting requirements
* Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and form solutions
* Collaborating with teams including testers, business analysts, business partners and data governance
* Ensuring data is reliable and trustworthy for analytic and reporting requirements
* Providing technical support, troubleshooting and documentation for daily operations
* Delivering continuous improvement in processes and technology to ensure efficient delivery of data and products
Desirable Skills Include
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience
* Experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, PowerBI, Azure DevOps, SQL and Python
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
* Communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for various audiences
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with engineering technologies and best practices

Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
* ASO3 $71,589 - $76,033 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
* ASO4 $79,432 - $83,266 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
* ASO5 $89,007 - $98,991 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
* ASO6 $102,171 - $108,071 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
* ASO7 $112,163 - $121,246 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
* ASO8 $125,649 - $130,392 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
