An established and growing construction and project delivery business on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their leadership team on a permanent part-time basis. This is a hands-on role offering flexibility, senior-level exposure, and the opportunity to influence business performance.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the business, delivering accurate reporting, strong governance, and commercial insights to support project and strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional looking to balance flexibility with meaningful responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
* Deliver project-based financial reporting, including job costing, WIP and margin analysis
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
* Partner with project managers to monitor project performance and cost-to-complete
* Manage cash flow, debtor management and supplier payments
* Oversee BAS, GST, payroll tax and statutory compliance
About You
* CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong background in construction, engineering, or project-based environments
* Solid understanding of job costing, WIP and project profitability
* High level of commercial acumen with strong attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting / ERP systems
* Confident communicator able to engage with directors and operational teams
