We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a high‐impact project implementing a new data lakehouse environment. Reporting to the Data Analytics and Reporting Manager and working closely with the project team, you will play a pivotal role in driving data ingestion, modelling, and maintenance pipelines within the Databricks environment, ensuring data is effectively collected, stored, and organised for seamless querying and analysis.
This is a 12‐month max term contract.
What You'll Do
* Design and oversee end‐to‐end data architecture solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.
* Leverage Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and DevOps tools to optimise data processing.
* Collaborate with a high‐performing, customer‐focused team in a culture of continuous improvement.
* Ensure data quality, performance, and security across large‐scale data environments.
* Drive best practices in data engineering, modelling, and architecture to support business intelligence and analytics.
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in IT or related disciplines (preferred).
* Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
* Solid understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
* Familiarity with CI/CD processes and best practices; contributing to a robust DevOps culture.
* Understanding of cloud infrastructure networking concepts, with hands‐on experience in implementation and support.
* Australian citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
