Job Summary:
The Commercial Contracts Manager role is responsible for the end-to-end management of customer contracts, ensuring that all governance processes are followed and commercial risks are minimized.
This includes contract drafting, negotiation, and implementation, as well as providing legal support to the Optus Wholesale team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in contract negotiation and management.

Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting and negotiating customer contracts, including service notifications, variation agreements, promotion letters, and termination agreements.
* Ensuring that all governance processes are followed before contracts are signed by relevant internal teams and Commercial Directors/leaders.
* Providing legal support to the Optus Wholesale team, including credit and risk control and dispute management.
* Negotiating and drafting contracts to align with the applicable Sale Contracts Policy.
* Interface with Optus regulatory on key regulatory issues affecting Optus involving strategic, operational, and technical issues.

Requirements:
* Legal drafting experience and preferably a legal academic background.
* Extensive years of relevant work experience in contract drafting, negotiation, legal, and compliance.
* Leadership – being a trusted advisor and partner to the Optus Wholesale team.
* Proven attention to detail, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision or assistance.
* Commercial foundations and business acumen.
* Contract negotiation experience in a matrix environment.
* Understanding of telecommunications operations and/or a wholesale environment is desirable.
