Position: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Cairns, Queensland
Type: Full-time hours, Labour hire, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
Conduct maintenance, repairs, and installations on mechanical equipment and machinery aboard ships and vessels.
Perform inspections and troubleshooting tasks to diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.
Complete documentation and reports related to maintenance activities.
Requirements:
Australian Citizen
Australian Trade Qualification as a mechanical fitter, preferably in the shipping or maritime industry.
Hold valid high-risk licenses for working at heights, confined spaces, and elevated work platforms.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Trade qualification or relevant certification in mechanical fitting.
