What Will You Be Doing
The Fixed Income division provide investors with access to fixed income investment opportunities supported by our expertise in delivering both quality service and excellent outcomes.

As an Associate, your role as a fixed income Relationship Manager will entail using your skills and experience to manage a book of clients and their fixed income requirements
To provide outstanding advice and client service to a growing base of predominantly Wholesale Private Clients, looking to expand that client base (including Private and other client segments) by leveraging and building both Fixed Income and your own external relationships and networks.
This role is based in Perth and will see you:
Relationship Management
* Ability to manage a book of clients efficiently and effectively while delivering excellent client service and meeting the investment needs of all clients
* Portfolio construction and ongoing portfolio management to meet client requirements
* Prepare trading suggestions or relative value opportunities to deliver performance to meet client requirements
* Achieve personal sales budgets and contribute to team sales budget with excellent client engagement and productivity
* Work with FIIG Research and Strategy on trade ideas and portfolio construction
* Achieve sales budgets and revenue growth through new client acquisition, existing client growth and exceptional client experience and engagement
Client Acquisition
* Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies to attract and secure new clients
* Meet your yearly client acquisition targets by acquiring new and existing private clients, intermediaries and middle market/other client groups who are seeking fixed income investment solutions
* Develop robust referral channels through existing clients and external partners/advocates
* Utilise your own contacts and networks to engage in networking activities or events to support your client acquisition activities and build FIIG’s brand in the market
* Work closely with fellow Relationship Managers to expand new client acquisition opportunities
Exceptional Client Experience
* Engage clients with exceptional service, ensuring their experience with FIIG is a standout and rewarding
* Retention of a portfolio of private clients and intermediaries against performance targets
* Generate additional revenue by identifying new opportunities within the existing client portfolio
* Source and convert opportunities through direct bond portfolios, trade/relative value suggestions in accordance with client needs, portfolio construction suggestions and sales notes to clients
* Establish and maintain an understanding of all client requirements through ongoing contact and use of all sales processes and tools, including CRM
* Ensure that execution and settlement of all transactions is completed in an accurate and timely manner
* Proactively identify and resolve client concerns and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
Leadership
* Lead by example and share your views and experience with others across the team
Other
* Proficiently utilise FIIG’s systems to support effective client capture, development of active client pipelines, conversion and relationship management
* Have a strong understanding of credit markets, global macro outlook and the specific products made available by FIIG to its clients to support clients’ decision making about appropriate investment choices
* Ability to adhere to General Advice requirements
About you
To be considered for this key role, you will have experience in:
Skills / Systems
* Proven track record of sales success in acquiring and growing a client base in private wealth investments
* 2-3+ years Sales experience Trading or Broking in Financial Markets, ideally in Private Wealth, with demonstrable success in servicing clients
* Can hit the ground running with a strong community presence and an established network of clients
* Energetic, confident and entrepreneurial business builder who thrives and excels in a competitive industry and has strong business acumen
* Expertise in Fixed Income highly desirable
* Skilled problem solver; solutions focused in providing appropriate advice
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team to achieve results - must be a strong team player
* High achievement orientation, passion and tenacity to succeed with high level of personal accountability for delivery, able to meet deadlines and multi-task
* Leadership skills demonstrating strong communication, motivation, delegation and ability to effectively manage junior staff
* Degree in finance, mathematics, or quantitative discipline
* Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication skills, along with strong influencing skills with an ability to engage with clients and key stakeholders at all levels
* Strong organizational skills and applies a disciplined and organized approach to their business
* Superior experience using MS Excel and PowerPoint
Qualifications
* RG146 Accreditation
* Experience working with self-managed superannuation funds
* Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance/Commerce or Economics or other relevant tertiary qualification
