Impact and Partnerships Manager - Maternity Leave Cover

About the role
Support the growth and stability of the organisation, with a focus on delivering on BES' strategic plans. Lead partnerships, positioning and tender/grant response. Supporting proposal/comms manager to put together concepts, pitches and proposals for prospective clients.
As an Impact and Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing new partnerships and leading the expansion of BES into new regions. We work closely with donors and partners to deliver impactful projects, providing powerful technology that has a unique value proposition for different contexts.
You will need to have a high-level understanding and understand all aspects of the organisation including product development and projects teams so you know what we have coming up and what we can offer our partners.
The successful applicant could be based in Melbourne, Auckland, or a remote location in a similar timezone and required to undertake regular international travel (approximately 25% travel). This is a 12 month, part time (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week) contract as a maternity leave cover.
Day to day, you will:
* Lead the proposals pipeline including both solicited and unsolicited proposals, using our CRM to track progress. This is often at short notice with fast turn around times for high quality work.
* Prepare contracts and supporting documentation for new work.
* Work with Proposals and Communications Manager on proposal submissions, grant applications, and tender responses.
* Maintenance of proposal and BD resources, subscriptions, tender websites
* Business Development: Joining meetings, pitches, ad hoc engagements – especially at short notice and across multiple contexts and timezones. This often involves coordinating these engagements and ensuring all appropriate internal staff are briefed and available.
* Maintain the CRM with an annual roadmap of engagement strategies.
* Liaise regularly with all parts of the organisation to be across the direction of product roadmap and projects status'.
* Attend and represent BES at conferences and events, including coordinated follow up after the event.
* Impact and Communications: Coordinate and manage regular webinars
* Work with Proposals and Communications Manager on a steady pipeline of comms – blogs, vlogs etc
* Coordinate our conference presence – oversee an annual plan and budget, designing individual event strategies, identifying and working with target audiences, prepping attendees

Experience and skills
* Experience in International Development, ideally in the health sector
* Experience in donor procurement cycles and/or proposal management
* Ability to produce high quality work with a fast turn around and hard deadlines
* Exceptional communicator with confidence to present to a variety of stakeholders
* Knowledge of international development contexts, including key actors in the health sector
* Highly organised and able to pivot priorities
Qualifications
Degree in Public Health, Business, Commerce, Global Health, Clinical Health, International Development, Project Management or related field.
Desirable (but not required)
* Experience working in the Pacific
* Experience using or implementing Electronic Medical Records or other digital health tools
* Experience using a CRM (currently use Hubspot but experience in similar systems would be acceptable)
