What you'll be doing:
We have several exciting opportunities available forqualified clinicians who are keen to make a real difference, through theprovision of critical incident support, psychological assessment andintervention, and holistic and proactive health and wellbeing programs.
The Psychologist role is an integral part of the MentalHealth Services program within the NSW RFS which includes Senior Psychologists,Psychologists, a Peer Support Program Coordinator, and Peer Support Officers.The Senior Psychologist and Psychologist positions deliver state-wide andarea-based mental health prevention, promotion, intervention and recoveryservices to RFS staff and volunteers as well as support and guidance to RFSleadership and peer personnel. The role will require participation in a rotatingon-call after-hours roster, ensuring that our team always has access to thecare they need, whenever they need it.
The Psychologist provides confidential psychologicalservices to RFS members, including clinical assessment, intervention, andreferral options and delivering Psychological First-Aid (PFA) for work-relatedtrauma. They work collaboratively with the Peer Support Officer (PSO) Program,and assist in the provision of psychoeducation and training to promote mentalhealth awareness and management.

To thrive in this role, you will need to:
* Workas an effective team member within a multi-disciplinary team
* Providetrauma-informed psychological assessment and interventions for peopleexperiencing mental health concerns
* Providepsychoeducation and/or mental health and wellbeing content in a groupsetting
* Havea genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based emergencyservice
