* Successful candidates for Fire Alarm Trade Assistance will be responsible for testing and maintaining fire safety systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualified and detail-oriented Fire System Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems
These roles are essential for ensuring the safety and reliability of fire alarm systems and other fire protection equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. May work at various sites, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and aged care facilities.
2. Identify and repair malfunctions in system components or wiring, including ordering and installing replacement parts as necessary
3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.
4. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on fire protection systems as needed.
5. Document and report all service activities, inspection results, and repairs performed.
6. Show customers how to use alarm system, discuss any questions or concerns and ensure customers are fully satisfied with the service they receive
7. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in fire safety regulations.
Installation:
* Install all wiring to connect system components, complying with all applicable safety standards and with customer's concerns or preferences.
* Review installation manuals, building plans and work orders to plan optimal locations for system components and wiring.
* Document testing results and maintain accurate records.
* Compose and submit documentation and reports for each installation or repair visit, complying with company's standard operating procedure.
* Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Maintenance:
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems to ensure proper functioning.
* Conduct routine maintenance inspections and testing of fire alarm systems and equipment.
* Inspect and test systems to ensure all components are performing well and comply with safety requirements.
