Leadership Role in Transport Operations
This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing daily transport operations across the site.
* Transport Allocation Management: Ensure efficient and timely deliveries to customers by effectively managing transport allocations.
* Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate dispatch activities to guarantee accurate consignment of freight.
* Subcontractor Performance: Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with standards for induction, training, and fatigue management.
* Workplace Safety Culture: Drive a strong safety-first culture and uphold COR and Vision ZERO standards.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on KPIs related to delivery performance and freight traceability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee Inbound/Outbound Bookings: Coordinate inbound and outbound bookings and reverse logistics across the network.
* Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of transport professionals to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
* Minimum Experience: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in transport coordination, allocations or scheduling.
* CoR Understanding: Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) principles and safe working practices.
* Industry Knowledge: Background in FMCG or high-volume logistics environments.
* Professional Skills: Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
